1 dead, 2 injured at Las Vegas Strip resort
One person died and two others were seriously injured after Thursday night shoot inside a hotel room at the Mirage, a well-known casino resort along the Las Vegas Strip, police said.
On Friday, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Captain Dori Koren tweeted a the suspect was arrested in connection with the shooting and praised the work done by the police department, although no additional information has been released.
The shooting was reported around 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Koren said at a news conference. Officers who arrived at the scene found three people shot dead, Koren said. A man was dead, he said.
The two injured were taken to hospital in critical condition. Both were adult women, Koren said.
Police believe the shooting began as an altercation between four people who knew each other, Koren said. During the altercation, a man shot three people, he added.
