Bella Thorne says casting director accused her of ‘flirting’ when she was 10

Bella Thorne said her early acting experiences weren’t all rosy.

During an appearance on ‘s Up down podcast, the Disney Channel alum has alleged she lost an acting job aged 10 after an anonymous casting director accused her of ‘flirting’ with him during an audition .

“The casting director calls my agent and the agent calls my mom, and they’re like, ‘So she’s not moving on because the director felt like she was flirting with him and it really upset him. ‘comfortable,'” Bella recalled in Dec. 27 episodes, per The Hollywood Reporter. “What are you talking about, man?!”

Bella, 25, admitted she was “always going[es] coming back” to this interaction “every day”, adding that it drove her “crazy”. She said she then had to remember that as a child, she was “not the problem” in this situation .

“I try to find myself almost at fault,” she continued. “Like, ‘What did you do, Bella? What did you do to make him feel like this?’ And every time, I’m like, ‘Bella, stop it.’ Even that thought becomes part of the problem.”
