Cos to wholesale for the first time

The women’s and men’s clothing retailer has chosen e-commerce platform Yoox along with department stores Nordstrom and German department store and retailer Breuninger as its first wholesale partners, reports WWD.
Nordstrom will begin selling Cos’ offerings at five of its New York-area stores on September 13, to coincide with New York Fashion Week.
Cos Global Head of Growth Lloyd Goldby said WWD“We have taken the time to carefully re-evaluate our customers’ requests. We have to meet the customer where the customer wants to meet us.”
“We need to build brand awareness in the US and wholesale will be a big part of that. Our brand awareness is relatively low in the US compared to other markets. We have a lot of work to do. TO DO.”
Cos operates 12 physical stores in the United States. It will start selling with Breuninger in October, allowing Cos to reach Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Poland.
