Dean Norris isn’t just Hank Schrader


One of Dean Norris’ most vital points as an actor is his ability to portray his role convincingly. So it’s safe to say that despite being famous for his role as a DEA agent in the AMC series “Breaking Bad”, he tenaciously won the hearts of many through his performances in other works.

Dennis Noris’ earliest roles date back to 1990 and 1991 when he starred in ‘Total Recall’ and ‘Terminator 2: Judgment Day’ respectively. After that, he touched the hearts of television fans after the fascinating role of a DEA agent in “Breaking Bad” in 2008.

Norris, born April 8, 1963 in South Bend, Indiana, is also a producer. Besides his incredible acting skills, he is a family-oriented man – his marriage to his wife, Bridget Norris, produced five children.

Norris’ resume is quite impressive. The actor has appeared in more than fifty films and numerous television shows. He is very busy and has not gone unnoticed by fans.

According to the website Rotten Tomatoes, some of his best works have been highly rated, including “Lethal Weapon,” which topped the IMDB charts, taking the top spot with a score of 7.6/10. This 1989 movie also featured big names like Mel Gibson, Danny Glover, and Joe Pesci.

Norris’ second highest rated film is “Remember”, with a rating of 7.4/10. In this breathtaking film, an elderly man with dementia tries to haunt the person responsible for the death of his family.

The number three movie is none other than “Without Limits”, with an IMDB score of 7.2/10 on IMDB. Its theme is centered on the lived experiences of a renowned runner, Steve Prefontaine. Billy Crudup played the title character, while Donald Sutherland was Bill Bowerman, his trainer.

Closely following is “The Last Seduction”, with a score of 7/10. This 1994 Steve Barancik film starred Linda Fiorentino as Bridget Gregory, who steals her husband’s drug money and plots his next move to a small town. The film won over five awards and nominations.

” wins the final prize as the number five film. Its score on IMDB is 6.2/10. It is a scary horror film based on a Halloween plot. Currently, Norris is working on the second installment of this suspenseful 2019 film.

DEAN NORRIS’ BIG BREAK ON TV AS HANK SCHRADER IN “BREAKING BAD”

Norris’ acting career began in the 1990s, but until his role as Hank Schrader, Walter White’s brother-in-law, he scored more with viewers, which made him his defining role in his career.

While recounting how he got the role, the actor revealed that he hoped to star in another series. But after the producers changed the lead role, he didn’t fit in.

Four months after being devastated at not appearing on what he considered a good show, Norris got the call that gave him a new reputation. He read the script, met the people in charge, and the rest is history!

In 2020, the actor reprized his role on the show and was excited to work with old faces. Norris admitted it was “a lot of fun”, adding that he was impressed with the new scripts. According to him:

“The whole show I find just fantastic.”

Following his fame after “Breaking Bad”, Norris never ceased to be his best version in the following films. It has been steady, providing viewers with top-notch entertainment in mystery, politics, and comedy-drama.

In 2013, he starred in the sci-fi series “Under the Dome”, alongside Nicholas Strong, Aisha Hinds and Karla Crome. Unfortunately, the show was canceled in 2015.

Norris later appeared in other TV shows including “Sons of Liberty”, “Scandal” and “The Book of Henry”, “Superstore”, “Claws” and “United States of Al”.
