Founder Eileen Fisher said, “I am delighted to welcome Lisa Williams as CEO. She is uniquely qualified for this role, after her distinguished tenure as a key executive at Patagonia, where she built an incredibly strong company around values and with integrity.
“Lisa shares my passion for design and remains true to the core values of our concept as we evolve it, my commitment to collaboration and the incredible fruits it bears, and my quest to resolve the inherent tension between consumption and growth. I’m ready to focus more deeply on the product, while stepping back from the larger responsibilities of running the business.”
Willaims said: “I have been inspired for years by Eileen’s forward thinking – she was ahead of her time with her concept of clothing design and her approach to creating a sustainable business. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Eileen and everyone at the company as CEO. I plan to deliberately build on Eileen’s commitment to timeless products that work together as a system, and to lead the fashion industry by operating with people and planet as priorities.
