As cities around the world come together to celebrate Pride this month, there’s no reason the celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community should end once July 1st rolls around. Uplifting and supporting LGBTQIA+ people is something you can and should do all year round. If you’re a member of the LGBTQIA+ community or an ally, an easy way to show your support is to shop with LGBTQIA+ owned brands that offer plus sizes.

Money talks and reinvesting your dollars in LGBTQIA+ owned brands and designers allows these businesses to grow, thrive, and serve their community, while equipping you with some killer leads.

Since I know the frustration of finding the perfect queer fashion piece and seeing that the bigger size on offer is just a means, I wanted to specifically highlight LGBTQIA+ owned boutiques and designers who offer queer fashion. plus sizes or cater specifically to larger babies.

1. Wolf Skin

Founded by Vancouverites Adelle Renaud (her/her) and Erin McLeod (her/her), Wolf Skin “originally set out to redefine the feminine label in women’s fashion by creating functional, well-made and timeless garments. Pride by Sammy was founded by Sammy (her)”to help spread LGBTQIA+ pride! All of these designs are custom made by me, so you won’t find them anywhere else online. I created these t-shirts in response to people in my life who said to me, “you’re just going through a phase” or “being gay is a choice”. I know I am not alone in these experiences.

I wanted to make sure all t-shirts are ethically produced. Prior to printing, t-shirts are sourced in bulk from a 100% sweatshop-free, eco-friendly production facility (WRAP certified) and are all printed here in the USA.

9. Tomboy X

If you’re looking for underwear, be sure to check out Tomboy X. Created by Fran and Naomi, Tomboy X is a brand that recently launched a capsule collection at Target!!
