In the heart of the Eden Théâtre, the oldest cinema in the world

Located in La Ciotat on the Côte d’Azur, the Eden Théâtre is the real cradle of the 7th art. In 1895, it was in this mythical room that spectators felt for the first time the emotion of a moving image projected on a screen. It was the famous arrival of the train, captured by Louis Lumière at La Ciotat station. Michel Cornille is the guardian of this temple, where you can discover the history of this mythical place, or simply paint yourself a picture. Because it has been welcoming new spectators for 10 years.
