They were in shock

A mother and her three children have been devastated because burglars stole them on Christmas Eve. Officer Anthony Dawson explained the heartbreaking scene:

“First we walk in and you don’t see anything under a Christmas tree on Christmas Eve. You’re in shock. And then you see the kids that they seem to be stoic…. They didn’t know what was going on really. “

The thieves had taken much more than food and gifts – they robbed the family of the joy and joy that comes with the festive season.

Kind and caring “Elficers”

Meador was familiar with FOP Lodge #36 in South Bend and their generous Santa’s Elficers program. He contacted them, hoping they still had a few gifts to spare.

The project, which has been running since 2016, provided gifts to 900 children and they were eager to help the South Bend family. Luckily, the team has been saving gifts for times like these.

An hour later, cops arrived at the family’s home carrying countless boxes and happily placing them under the sparkling Christmas tree. Gone is the sadness that had descended on their home.

Thank the cops

Officer Meador was extremely proud of what he and his fellow officers had accomplished. Seeing the smiles on the children’s faces made their actions worthwhile and kept the team going. He hoped that the young people would keep the precious memory and give it back in the future.

Meador revealed that the children looked at their gifts with enthusiasm. They received dolls, board games and beautiful toys. Amid the growing negativity in the world, the ability to please someone was just what the officers needed.

In the clip, the mom thanked the cops and told her little ones: “You got your things back. Say thank you. Aren’t you happy?” The officers were true heroes and deserved all the thanks for taking care of their community.
