Passan also added that teams will now be allowed to pay players during spring training and instructional leagues.

Passan later noted that it is unclear how many former players will be eligible for compensation.

This is a major win for Minor League players. Here’s hoping it starts with underage players getting the pay they deserve, along with better conditions on and off the pitch. twitter.com/JeffPassan/sta…

Some wonder exactly how much of the settlement will go to the players.

I have questions. Will former minor leaguers get paid? How much do lawyers charge? twitter.com/jeffpassan/sta…

Passan said in the Twitter thread that players will get $120 million of the $185 million.

A former minor league player is happy the system is changing for the better.

As a 6 year old former minor leaguer who went through a shitty system, I’m glad it’s less shitty for current/future minor leaguers. twitter.com/jeffpassan/sta…

This is a huge win for minor league players looking to improve their working conditions and wages. It will be interesting to see how much minor league salaries go up in the future.
