Marijuana laws are changing. What about people with prior beliefs?

Proponents of criminal justice reform say the legalization of marijuana must address the wrongdoings of the country’s decades-long war on drugs campaign with expungement, recidivism and other provisions of restorative justice.

These are just some of the many burdens on Stephanie Shepard, who was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison after being convicted of conspiracy to distribute more than 1,000 kilograms (about two tons) of marijuana.
