Matchesfashion appoints new COO

He joins Frasers Group, where he has served as Group Head of Luxury Brands for the past six years. Commenting on his new role, Tallents said he was “delighted to be working alongside Nick [Matchesfashion CEO Nick Beighton] to help deliver Matchesfashion’s next phase of growth.”

Former Asos CEO Nick Beighton joined Matchesfashion as managing director in August. He then made a number of hires, including appointing former Asos and Farfetch logistics manager Stuart Hill as chief operating officer (COO), effective September.

Former Farfetch senior vice president of finance, Dave Murray, has also been hired as chief financial officer. Murray will join in the fall, replacing Sean Glithero, who will be leaving to take a break from his career. Harvey Ainley, former chief operating officer of furniture retailer Sofology and former chief financial officer of The Vet Group, served as interim chief financial officer.

At the time of his appointment, industry onlookers said Beighton would be able to use his Asos leadership expertise to help fallen Matchesfashion get back on track.
