N Brown’s Shailina Parti joins Westside as COO

Westside is part of the Tata Group, which is an Indian multinational conglomerate headquartered in Mumbai. It has over 200 high-end stores in India.

Parti will be responsible for expanding its store portfolio across India and building a “compelling online presence”.

All category managers, as well as Westside’s head of sourcing, quality, merchandising, customer and retail operations, will now report to Parti, who will be based in Mumbai.

She told Drapers, “It’s a good time because India has an emerging middle class that is looking for high-end retail brands to shop.”

Parti took over leadership of group buying at N Brown Group, comprised of Jacamo, Simply Be, JD Williams, Ambrose Wilson and Home Essential, on a contract basis in February 2020.

Former Debenhams womenswear commercial director Sara Bradley was appointed as the new chief purchasing officer in April.

Parti is a product expert with experience in strategic leadership and brand transformation through design, buying and merchandising for international companies such as Jaeger, Monsoon and Jigsaw.
