Nala’s rescue caught on camera

OGDEN, Utah — A Utah family reunites with their dog after a harrowing mountain rescue.

“Nala” separated from her owner while hiking on Christmas Eve. The next day she was spotted on a ridge above a frozen waterfall.

Specially trained climbers climbed the mountain, cradling the cold, frightened dog in their arms.

Rescuers said the sheriff’s drone may have prompted “Nala” to cooperate.
