When Nicola Peltz said “till death do us part,” as she stood at the altar at her wedding to Brooklyn Beckham in May, she wasn’t just talking about her soon-to-be husband. She was also talking about the white satin Versace platform heels on her feet. Some criticized Peltz for her choice of shoes on her wedding day, which they thought looked out of place with her custom Valentino gown, but the actress shrugged off the comments and stuck to her platforms.
Outside of her wedding, Peltz has worn the style on numerous occasions, though it’s not exclusive to Versace. Peltz also favors the style of Pierpaolo Piccioli for Valentino. These are the ones Peltz wore to the 2022 Met Gala, the pointed-toe Tan-Go variety in Valentino’s now signature pink. Later that night, Peltz swapped the bright hue for a black pair of the same heels while attending an after party with Beckham.
And the love story continued, most recently at Variety 2022 Power Of Young Hollywood Celebration over the weekend. Peltz attended the red carpet to support her husband, who was being honored at the event. Peltz wore a set from Fendi that included a strapless corset top with an asymmetric hem and a pair of matching wide leg pants. For the shoes, you guessed it, Peltz opted for a Versaces platform, although this time the actress appeared to opt for the brand’s ankle boot version. An equal-opportunity platform wearer, Peltz donned her black Valentino pair for the after party, pairing them with a Saint Laurent top and Jean Paul Gaultier skirt.
So the question is, does Peltz have a separate closet just to house his vast collection of rigs? That seems likely, given the actress’ dedication to shoe styling. Peltz got really creative when it came to pairing platforms with different looks, finding a way to make them work with everything from wedding dresses to pants. Now all we can do is wait and see how she inevitably wears them next (because we’re worried about her probably sore feet while we wait).
