Potential Knicks targets ahead of trade deadline

As SNY’s Ian Begley reportsthe Knicks have had internal discussions about trading Sixers forward Tobias Harris and Raptors forward OG Anunoby ahead of their recent eight-game winning streak. Houston’s Eric Gordon is another name the Knicks have expressed interest in, according to multiple reports.

Despite having the credentials for a major roster shake-up, New York (18-16) is unlikely to make a major roster shake-up. Here’s a breakdown of the potential targets as we approach the February 9 trade deadline.

Small Forward Kelly Oubre Jr., Charlotte Hornets

With an average of 20.6 points, Oubre loses a Hornets team that is only vying for the first pick in the draft. The eighth-year forward won’t cost a premium as he enters free agency this summer.

At just 27, Oubre could provide the New York bench with a much-needed offensive spark. With eyes on an impact winger, presumably, to replace Cam Reddish in the rotation, Oubre could be a perfect match.
