Prince William and Kate Middleton will apparently be not will visit the Sussexes on their first royal tour of the United States in eight years, according to royal commentators quoted in the Express and the Sun. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will travel to the United States to host the Earthshot Prize Awards – a new annual prize awarded by the Royal Foundation to five environmentalists which was launched in 2021 – as the ceremony will be held there this year, probably late fall.
Royal expert Neil Sean, according to the Expresssaid that while it would be a “perfect time” for the two families to reunite, “they are planning a busy schedule with no private time for visitation.”
According to Sean, the real reason the Cambridges are not planning to visit Prince Harry and Meghan has to do with the royal breakup. “It all centers around William having a really hard time moving past all of these allegations that Harry has made about him and his family through Oprah,” he said.
Now, there’s always the possibility that William and Kate are just too busy to pass through Santa Barbara on this trip. If the awards show is in Maine, for example, it’s not exactly around the corner.
Still, it wouldn’t be the first time in recent months that the two brothers have passed up an opportunity to hook up. While Harry and Meghan were in London for the Platinum Jubilee, for example, they threw a small party for her first birthday, which Prince William and Kate did not attend. A source said entertainment tonight that it wasn’t an intentional affront, just a case of unfortunate timing.
The question remains: Are Harry and Meghan ready to forgive and forget too?
