Finnish newspaper Etelä-Saimaa reported that Russian citizens made a total of 212 property transactions in Finland between January and July 2022. This compares to 222 properties bought by Russians for the whole of last year. The newspaper says most of the recent purchases have been made in the South Karelia region, near the Finnish-Russian border.
