Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ daughter, outside linebacker Shaq Barrett, has died after drowning in their swimming pool.
The team released a statement on Sunday evening following the tragic news of Arrayah’s death at the age of two.
Cops responded to a call for a child who fell into a swimming pool around 9:30 a.m. in the Tampa’s Beach Park area on Sunday, according to the Tampa Police Department.
Arrayah Barrett was taken to hospital but attempts to resuscitate her were unsuccessful.
An investigation is ongoing but Arrayah’s death is not suspicious, police said.

Barrett is an outside linebacker for Tampa Bay and has been with the team since 2019
“Today’s tragic news is heartbreaking for all members of the Buccaneers family,” the Bucs statement read.

The NFL world sent love, prayers and condolences to Barrett and his family on social media
“Our thoughts and prayers are with Shaq, Jordanna and the entire Barrett family during this incredibly difficult time.
“While no words can bring true comfort at a time like this, we offer our support and love as they begin to process this very deep loss of their beloved Arrayah.”
Arrayah was the youngest of four children Barrett, who has played with the Bucs since 2019, has with his wife Jordanna.
