The range will include crochet crops, bandeau dresses and breezy styles in shades of white and beige and will be available in Superdry stores and independent wholesale customers from next month.
Ibiza Whites are part of Superdry’s push for new product lines which most recently included its Merchant Store menswear range. It was soft-launched in late January 2023 and hit stores a month later.
This range comprised 16 pieces, including slim jeans, shirts, overshirts and coats. Retail prices for Merchant Store range from £54.99 for long-sleeved shirts to £174.99 for moleskin peacoats. It is not yet known how many pieces the Ibiza White collection will contain or what the prices will be.
In 2023, Superdry CEO Julian Dunkerton told Drapers that his clothing empire is focused on “product progress” which is “key” to the brand.
On April 25, Superdry said it had increased the borrowing level of its asset-backed facility by £80 million until the sale of the high street retailer’s Asian IP (intellectual property) was completed.
The previous week the retailer announced it was to introduce £35million in savings as part of a ‘turnaround plan’ which would involve ‘fleet optimisation’, logistics savings, better sourcing and range reduction.
In January, Superdry reported a pre-tax statutory loss of £17.7million in the 26 weeks to October 29, compared with a profit of £4million for the same period a year earlier.
