A Texas man is on the run after shooting and killing five of his neighbors, including an eight-year-old boy, because they asked him to stop firing his gun in his yard.
The man has not yet been publicly named. At 11:30 p.m. last night, he opened fire on the family living next door to his home in Cleveland, a city north of Houston.
The neighbors – a family of 10 living together – asked him to stop firing his gun because they were trying to put a baby to sleep.
The shooter replied “I’ll do what I want in my front yard” and shot them with an AR-15 before fleeing.

When police arrived on the scene, they found two adult women dead outside the house and a man lying dead in the living room.
Both women were covered in blood, according to San Jacinto County Sheriff Greg Capers, and were lying on top of two young children who survived.
“In my opinion, they were actually trying to take care of the babies and keep them alive,” he said.
It is not known exactly where the eight-year-old was in the house.
All of the victims were from Honduras, police said.
The shooter, who has not yet been publicly named, was reportedly drunk at the time.
Police described him as Mexican about 5 feet 8 inches tall. An arrest warrant was issued against him with $5 million bail.
“We’re getting closer to him every minute of every hour, but we know who he is,” Sheriff Capers said.
