The Bucket List: Louie’s Rooster New York

I had the option to sit down and speak with Tom Citro, owner of Louie’s Rooster NYC.  Citro is passionate about the food stuff business enterprise and his fellow restaurateurs. Citro opened in August 2020 and is set on opening many others in just the future couple many years. Total disclosure, the food is so great! 


SL: Make sure you share your qualifications with us. 

TC: I grew up in Bedford NY. I attended Fox Lane High Faculty and then college at Alfred University exactly where I examined small business and performed basketball.


SL: How did you arrive to open up Louie’s Hen NY? In which is it positioned?

TC: Louie’s Hen NYC is located on 2nd avenue among 54Th and 55th Streets in Manhattan. Curiously enough, I’m a member at the health and fitness center throughout the road and when the current cafe in the space shut because of to Covid, I looked at it as an option recognizing that the region necessary a put like this.


SL: Exactly where did the strategy appear from?

TC: The concept of residence cooked food built with the freshest elements with wonderful purchaser support is timeless and will continue to keep the consumers coming back again. This is what our meals is all about!


SL: Share with our viewers some of your preferred products on the menu.

TC: The rotisserie hen, fried chicken, meatballs, and Philly Cheesesteak are some of my private favorites, but, everything is delectable!


SL: The restaurant prides alone of the homestyle cooking.  Can you extend on this?

TC: Nearly every little thing we offer is created on premise except the cookies, cakes, and a couple other items. There is a large big difference in flavor as effectively as being healthful as freshly geared up foods as opposed to processed. The excellent of food items we serve at our selling price stage makes us stand out and our buyers satisfied. That is what it is all about!


SL: We are quite impressed not only by the menu, but the cleanliness of the shop.  

TC: I am a fanatic about retaining the store immaculately thoroughly clean. My mother always says why would any individual go into a restaurant that is not spotless? You can see me every morning cleaning the windows and the overall spot. My basement is swept and mopped every day.


SL: Will there be any other Louie’s Chicken increasing across Manhattan or the state?

TC: Certainly, we are already looking at opening two to three other areas in Manhattan and then growing nationally.


SL: Do you see the hospitality business enterprise building a major comeback?

TC: Persons are itching to go out. Hospitality will be back again more robust than ever!


SL: We know you are incredibly philanthropic.  Share with our readers some of the organizations or functions of kindness that you partake in.

TC: We have donated to a lot of brings about due to the fact we have opened. We guidance the neighborhood police and hearth division of program but also the Sutton Place Parks Conservancy, The African Children’s Choir, Turtle Bay Association, the Sutton Region Local community and we will keep on to assistance a variety of businesses.
