Kevin Le Ménaheze and Joris Rocher, two supporters of FC Nantes, decided to join Paris by bike from the stadium of La Beaujoire, the emblematic enclosure of the Canaries. The Loire-Atlantique club faces Toulouse, this Saturday, April 29, in the final of the Coupe de France.
A crazy challenge between friends. Kevin Le Ménaheze and Joris Rocher, two supporters of FC Nantes, decided to join Paris by bike from Nantes. On the departmental roads near Saumur, Kevin Le Ménaheze and Joris Rocher do not pass in the previews. The two cyclists have put on the perfect panoply of FC Nantes supporters, from jerseys to bikes to helmets. Everything is yellow in the colors of the club, even the mascot, a teddy bear wedged in the luggage rack. The two thirty-somethings, friends in life, wanting to combine sport and camaraderie.
A half-marathon in the capital
“We like to challenge ourselves, to set the mood a bit. And once we saw that Nantes was in the final of the Coupe de France, we said we were going. But Joris said that we were going to go there, but not as usual. And suddenly, we go there by bike”, reports Kévin.
The two Nantes residents sleep with locals and are encouraged on the road. “We always have people stopping, honking their horns,” adds the Nantes resident. And when they arrive in Paris, Kevin and Joris will leave their bikes behind. “Suddenly, we are going to take a tour of Paris via the Eiffel Tower to the Stade de France. In running this time where the idea is to do a half-marathon”, testifies Joris. Once the match is over, they must return to Nantes. By bike, of course, and why not with the haircut.
