The guardianship accelerates financial aid to investors

The expert retained the ministry in particular in the verification phase of the supporting documents for the expenses constituting the disbursement files submitted by the investors.
After the automotive ecosystem, the Ministry of Industry also intends to accelerate the disbursement of financial aid granted by the State to investors within the framework of the Industrial Development and Investment Fund (FDII). These are direct investment subsidies (rental/acquisition of land, construction/acquisition of professional buildings, acquisition of capital goods, technical assistance costs, etc.) agreed in the investment agreements signed between the Department of Industry, the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the investors concerned. Indeed, the Ministry of Industry has just launched a call for tenders concerning technical assistance missions for the disbursement of financial aid granted by the State within the framework of the FDII.
In particular, the expert retained the ministry in the verification phase of the supporting documents for the expenses constituting the disbursement files submitted by the investors for the payment of the State contribution. This support will be spread over a period of 36 months and concerns the examination of approximately 400 disbursement files. According to the supervisory authority, since the launch of the Industrial Acceleration Plan (PAI) 2014-2020, Moroccan industry has risen to high levels of growth, thanks to around fifty ecosystems covering 14 industrial sectors. The implementation of the PAI makes it possible to achieve convincing results in terms of exports and job creation.
These performances have made it possible to position Morocco on the radars of the world’s largest industrial “players” as a credible and competitive industrial destination. However, and given the difficult economic situation due to the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic, Moroccan industry, like industry around the world, has not escaped the effects of the pandemic.
To deal with this situation, it is vital for Morocco to continue to use its means to provide the necessary support to project leaders in such circumstances. As such, the ministry adopted the Industrial Recovery Plan (PRI) 2021-2023 aimed, among other things, at supporting national players in order to optimally exploit Morocco’s industrial potential, which is favorably located at the crossroads of the major consumer markets.
Thus, and to guarantee smooth support for manufacturers, the Ministry has decided to launch a call for tenders to be assisted in the phase of disbursement of subsidies for the benefit of investors.
As a reminder, the Department of Industry has also launched a call for tenders for technical assistance relating to the disbursement of financial aid granted by the State to specific and capacity-based projects in automotive ecosystems.
