Kema Christian-Coates’ childhood was filled with “holiday men”, absent fathers – including his own – who returned every year around Christmas to disappear again. Her father’s absence has left a hole in her life and the fear that she, like her mother and grandmother, will never find a man to rely on.
Today we hear Kema’s story of realizing the power of her mother and grandmother’s presence in her life and finding a lasting partnership.
