Recently, I needed more looks than ever before. After several years of indoors and only cautiously going outside, it looks like we’re all set for a post-pandemic, “almost back to normal” summer. That means things are back on track, including weddings, birthdays, vacations, graduations, first dates, and more. I mean, my calendar is filling up more and more each week. That said, the days of throwing a cute top over my pajama shorts for a virtual event are behind me, and I’m back to full head-to-toe outfit planning. As a NYC girl, I really don’t like leaving the house in an outfit that I totally dislike. My clothes are like my armor. I need to feel the most powerful when I wear them, and that’s very important to me. Staying on budget is also something I appreciate, so when I’m looking for cool and affordable pieces to add to my wardrobe or when I want to experiment with one of the chic new trends I’ve seen all over my feed Instagram, I go to Zara.
Lately, the brand has really brought it. I see pieces that could easily pass for designers, great basics, bright colors and tons of lightweight summer fabrics like linen and silk. I made a list of 30 items that my wardrobe absolutely needs.
