Sorry! On Wednesday’s This Morning show, Holly Willoughby apologized to Phillip Schofield during an on-air joke spot as he claimed she ‘threw him under a horse’.

“You threw me under one!” Phil asserted, to which a smiling Holly insisted, “Not quite.”

“Close,” Phil argued, as Holly recalled the incident, saying, “Where were we at?” We were at Ascot, and then this horse reared up. It was instinctive that I leaned in behind you – I didn’t throw you!

“You grabbed me and pushed me towards the horse,” Phil insisted, to which Holly argued, “I didn’t push you!”

Still none of that, Phil said, “Yeah, you did!” with Holly laughing as she chimed in and told him, “I hid behind you.”

Not budging on his stance, Phil said, “You pushed me under the horse’s hooves”, leaving Holly to finally apologize, conceding, “Well, I’m sorry.”

With a smirk, Phil admitted, “Maybe I overdid it a bit.”

The pre-recorded line aired on Wednesday, days after Holly stifled her laughter as Santa Claus cracked an X-rated joke during This Morning’s Christmas Day episode.

Holly was talking to Santa in the studio for the festive special and mentioned he was due to get a much needed day off on the 25th.

“Obviously, it’s a holiday for all of you, I imagine?” Holly asked Santa Claus, who spoke to the hosts live from his cave at the North Pole.

“Well no, we have a big date today,” Santa told the host. ‘Mrs Claus is having a Christmas dinner for everyone, for everyone – all the elves, the red carpet.

“I look forward to piggies in blankets and Mrs. Claus loves a good prank.”

This left Holly to help but laugh, while Phil gave the camera a funny look to show they understood the sexual innuendo.
