The First Trust Nasdaq Bank ETF saw unusually high volume in afternoon trading Thursday, with more than 332,000 shares trading against a three-month average volume of around 45,000. FTXO shares rose by around 1.5% on the day.
The components of this ETF with the highest volume on Thursday were Bank of America, which was trading down around 0.9% with more than 8.9 million shares traded so far this session, and Citigroup, in up around 1.2% on a volume of more than 5.4 million shares. Svb Financial Group was the best-performing component on Thursday, up around 7.8% on the day, while JP Morgan Chase lagged other components of the First Trust Nasdaq Bank ETF, s trading up around 0.3%.
