Father figures are often crucial in the lives and careers of athletes, and Tom Brady’s father is no different. Tom Brady Sr. is a best dad and role model to the NFL star.

Born in San Francisco, California on May 6, 1944, Tom Brady Sr. is often seen cheering on his son, Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady.

Brady Sr. may be the father of one of the most accomplished athletes in sports history, but he and his wife still live in the same home in San Mateo, Calif., where their four children grew up.

Of San Mateo, Brady Sr. is president and chief executive officer of insurance company Thomas Brady & Associates. He has also appeared in television series and documentaries, including “Year of the Quarterback” and “Man in the Arena.”

Brady Sr.’s impact on Tom’s life and career has been exceptional. The Brady family patriarch explained that Tom was so competitive because of him. Everything was a competition, including running home from church or throwing rocks the farthest.

The close bond between Tom and his father has remained over the years, and the future Hall of Famer praises Brady Sr. every chance he gets. In an episode of “Man in the Arena”, Tom said:

“When I think of being a dad, I think [of Brady Sr.] because of what my father meant to me. I know I’m not such a good father to my children as [sic] my father was with me.”

Tom confessed that he used Brady Sr. as an example of how to not only keep a family together, but how to care for, support and love them.

The New England Patriots legend honored Brady Sr. on Father’s Day by posting a selfie with him from a golf course. In the caption, Tom described his father as his hero and the most loving and kind father in the world.

Speaking of the Patriots, Brady Sr. revealed his son’s move to the Buccaneers was the right move. He said Patriots coach Bill Belichick wanted Tom “out,” but he threw for more than 50 touchdowns and won the Super Bowl in his first year with the Buccaneers.


Some consider Brady Sr. alone to be Tom’s biggest fan, but Brazilian model, activist and businesswoman Giselle Bündchen has also supported Tom through thick and thin.

Bündchen is one of the most successful models in the industry, with over 1,000 magazine cover appearances. She also worked as an actress in “The Devil Wears Prada”, “Taxi” and a few other films.

The former Victoria’s Secret angel has made the list of the world’s highest-paid models multiple times and signed with Lions Management in 2021 to resume her career in fashion. Bündchen married Tom in 2009 and they share two children. What a talented family.
