Jeremy Scott has always been known for his quirky silhouettes and his fairly literal approach to fashion. And if you thought her Spring 2023 show would be different… well!
Scott’s latest collection for Moschino walked the runway at Milan Fashion Week on Thursday and there the designer released his latest eccentric designs inspired by none other than summer’s poolside. The 64-piece collection features a slew of styles that look like a childhood dream come true, from puffy dresses to matching ensembles with – you guessed it – plenty and a lot inflatable buoys.
Scott’s vision for ready-to-wear shines through in whimsical and unconventional appearances. With a pearly white water fountain placed in the center of the catwalk, models were captured emerging from behind, first in a number of sleek, business-ready black and white looks. Soon after, the colorful world of Moschino spilled onto the runway. Bold red suits and black mini dresses are embellished with heart-shaped details, and dresses are decorated with 2D cartoons. Printed ensembles and sparkly dresses are also eye-catchers, with puff-sleeved capes, tiered maxi dresses and kitsch swimwear destined to become must-have ensembles for an Italian summer in paradise.

The cutouts also make fabulous cameos and there’s no subtlety when it comes to Scott and his elaborate accessories: in addition to animal and donut-shaped floats, heart-shaped hats and long latex opera gloves provide a playful finish.
