Wendy Williams says she’s ‘happy to be here’ after a trying year that includes health issues, a stint in rehab, her son’s eviction and the end of her wildly popular daytime chat show .

The 58-year-old media personality took to her Instagram on Saturday to announce the launch of a new line of products ahead of her upcoming The Wendy Williams Experience podcast.

The post included a video featuring Wendy in her mansion as she sat on a rather grand couch.

The upcoming project will be Wendy’s first broadcast project since The Wendy Williams Show, which aired for 14 seasons, premiered its final episode earlier in June.

Sherri Shepherd, who had replaced Wendy last season due to the star’s medical issues, took over the timeslot with her own show simply titled Sherri.

It’s still unclear when The Wendy Williams Experience will finally hit podcast platforms.

It has been a tumultuous few months for Wendy as she The only child has been evicted from his luxury $2million Miami apartment and hit with a lawsuit over $70,000 in unpaid rent that she can no longer pay for him, allegedly for medical and legal reasons.

Kevin, 22, was smitten with the lawsuit in February this year. It came after Wendy suffered health issues which led to the court being charged with her finances after her Wells Fargo accounts were frozen in January.

According to the US Sun, the eviction lawsuit was filed in August and contains a copy of Kevin Jr’s lease, showing that Wendy had paid a security deposit, other fees and a full year’s rent up front, either. over $100,000.

The lease started in March 2021 and ended in February this year. After his visit, Kevin agreed to continue renting the apartment on a monthly basis.

At the end of the lease, Wendy suffered health problems which led to the court being charged with her finances after her Wells Fargo accounts were frozen in January.

This was around the time the unpaid rents started piling up. Wendy’s accounts had been frozen by Wells Fargo in January over concerns she was “insane”.

Her bank also suspected “financial abuse, insanity or undue influence” and she was placed under financial guardianship.

Wendy was released from a welfare center in October after checking in earlier in September after a relapse of alcohol abuse. Fans had early expressed concern for the star’s health due to his thinness and disoriented exchanges.

In October, after the star left the wellness center, a rep told E! News, “Wendy is excited about the road ahead and can’t wait to release her many projects.”

The statement continued with, ‘She wants to say, ‘Thank you to my fans for your love, support and many prayers, I’m back and better than ever.’

Wendy had previously been married to her first husband, Bertrand Girigorie, since 1994 but their divorce was finalized soon after in 1995.

She married again in 1999 to Kevin Hunter, with whom she shares her 22-year-old son. The couple divorced twenty years later in 2019 after having a baby girl with his mistress Sharina Hudson.
