According to Denise, having social media accounts is one of the ways she has stayed on people’s radar, explaining that it’s “fantastic because you hear from your people. I had to wait for the letters arrive at the television station.”
However, Katie explains that social media has its own downsides for both.
“She’s new to haters. At the time, she was on TV and nobody could really send her a hate DM like they can to me,” Katie said. “I get a lot of haters online. Showing exactly who you are and being vulnerable is really hard on social media because you open yourself up to the world to say whatever opinions they want.”
“But,” Katie continued, looking on the bright side, “that’s also the beauty of it. Reaching out to so many people and making sure all opinions are heard, I think it’s really important to ‘get those feedback immediately.’
But Katie points out that the benefits of exercise extend beyond what it physically does to a person, noting that it’s “not only good for your physical health, but I’m very active for your mental health. “.
“There are a lot of fitness programs out there about losing weight and I’ve never focused my workouts around that,” she continued. “I personally believe that you train to feel better. Working out really makes you feel better, more confident, more productive and accomplished. It’s also what makes my mom and I so positive. It can really change your mindset and your perspective.”
