Yankees game halted after cameraman was hit in the head by errant pitch

A cameraman was hit in the head by an errant pitch during Wednesday’s game between the Yankees and the Baltimore Orioles and both teams were taken off the field by the umpire.

The man, Pete Stendel who works for YES Network, was due to be carried off the field but raised his hand in the air and gave a peace sign, to wild cheers from thousands of Yankee Stadium fans.

The pitch came from shortstop O Gunnar Henderson and it sailed over 1st base and hit the cameraman.
